Processing during loading and unloading of timber transportation
Protective treatment of wood before transportation is a complicated and very necessary process. It includes many steps and services.
- Drying — processing of wood under high temperature without access of air, which reduces humidity and increases resistance to fungi.
- Antiseptation — treatment with antiseptic solutions to prevent the growth of fungi and other pests.
- Vacuum impregnation — filling the cavities of wood with preservatives under vacuum for deeper penetration of antiseptics.
